Anxiety Representation Painting

Overthought/Overgrown

Photoshop painted piece of an artistic representation of Anxiety created for a final project for my Visual Design course. The concept came to me in my grade 12 year of high school. I was just doodling on my break and decided to sketch a little bit of venting art. I made a little sketch of the flower headed boy and I really liked how it came out so I decided to clean it up. Visual Design gave me an excuse to digitalize it and so this is how this painting came to be.

Overall it took approximated 9 hours to digitalize and paint. If i could change anything I think I would maybe blend the skin or add more tones to it instead of leave it so stiff. I feel it disconnects with the rest of the piece. However, my favourite part is the vine that extends down the arm. I feel that really connects the Overthought/Overgrown concept.
